Hi my name is Rachelle and I am....

OBSESSED/ADDICTED to FONTS {and clipart too, but this post is my ode to teacher fonts}.  This series of posts will run each week during Management Monday {I know it's not a classroom management tool}!  Managing your fonts is VERY important to run a good classroom keep the dear teacher happy. I get tons of emails a week about what fonts I use on that and this and over here and over there...
so I thought I'd help a sista out!

I'll be posting about my favorite fonts and font artist over the next few weeks {I have many}. And I particularly like free fonts.

First up,

An ode to Kevin and Amanda fonts {it rhymes so read it out-loud :) }

How'd you like my poem?  :)  Can you tell I teach 1st grade?

Well, I've been downloading SO many fonts from here and there...I thought I'd organize them a little, so when I go to make a printable, I can see which font I want to use from Kevin and Amanda Fonts.

Download the easy-to-see list {here}

Next up, DJ Inkers or MTF or Sugar Frog or Font Space? Hmmm..... If you need a refresher on where to get those fonts, go {here} to see my free fonts post!

What is your favorite Kevin and Amanda Font?

Ooh, I came back to tell you something and now I can actually see the fonts in your poem! I wanted to share that I also added numbers 1-4 on my "cheat sheet" because I always have a tricky time finding the right numbers to use for my kiddos!

Did you know you can get your own handwriting made into a font? Check out http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=7. I have both cursive & print and I LOVE them!!! Tell her Kristin sent you! :)

I sooooo understand your obsession because I have the same one! I am glad I am not the only one that has a "cheat sheet" of fonts to look at and choose from! My faves have to be the first three in your poem-smiley monster, Pass the Chex and Wish I Were Taller! I especially love fonts with "normal" a's...weird huh?!

Not font related....if you get a chance come check out my giveaway at my blog

Oh and thanks for a few new fonts to feed my obsession....heading to Kevin and Amanda now...

I am new to reading blogs. I am wondering about the fonts. Where do the font downloads go? How/where can they be used.

Your ode is fabulous! LOVE Kevin and Amanda fonts and if I don't have a gazillion font choices I freak! My tech guy keeps telling me that all my fonts are slowing my computer down. Oh well. Sorry. They can't go.

You. Are. Awesome. I LOVE this little reference sheet! I use Annoying Kettle a lot because it's easy for students to read. I also am in love with Elephants in Cherry Trees. It's so big and bold and chunky! Once again Thank you thank you for the 'cheat sheet.'

Great idea, Rachelle! I love K&A fonts too, and there are so many that I haven't even begun to use them all!

I often see fonts on other blogs that I love. Then it turns out they are from K&A and I already have them them on my own hard drive, but haven't tried them yet!
Your list helps me find those cute fonts quickly!
