So Much Going On!

It's never too early to teach a grammar rule that is broken ALL OF THE TIME by adults (including my husband- love ya babe).  I noticed as we were learning these words in our sight word books that they were difficult to explain.  So, I made some posters, a sentence sort, and a practice sheet!

This is always so tricky (and I teach 4th!). I tell students to test the word "their" by replacing with him or her. If the new sentence reads correctly, you probably need ownership their. (The students put on their shoes.-- The students put on his shoes.)

Amen sista! Alot also kills us-notice it gets underlined when you type it because it's spelled wrong people! Your/you're are doozies too! We're cursed!

Love these posters and 'are' kiddos will too! heehee!
