Did you know that
Earth Day is one month from today {April 22nd}? In honor of Earth Day I've created a free mini-unit and our class is "going green" {your class can too! This is a multi-grade level unit}.
This unit is full of Earth Day topics such as reduce, reuse, recycle, pollution, mother earth, and more!
You will find activities for:
*Math
*Science
*Writing
*Centers
*Art
*Reading
Here are just a few of my favorite things...
This little guy is my favorite!
This is a tin foil statue made from recycled foil!

Today we went on a field trip to a Native American Village. The leader was a native American. She added two more R's. Reconsider ( Think about if you really need to or want to use something) and Refuse ( Chose never to use certain items or do certain things that would be harmful to the environment)
You guys are so creative! Thank you for all you share. I love your blog :)

This is an awesome unit! Thanks so much for taking the time to make it first of all and sharing it for free!!!
This is so fantastic! My first grade kiddos thank you and so do I.
Your units are wonderful. I just started following you. I have a new book for you to add to your unit. It is "Miss Fox's Class Goes Green"
by Eileen Spinelli and illustrated by Anne Kennedy. I love Eileen Spinelli books. I thought it would be fun to put our own name as the teacher and have our students write and draw about how they could go green. Maybe print it on green paper?
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! My fellow teachers and I rotate lesson plan themes weekly and this is my topic for April! Love that everything is FREE :) Thanks again
Thanks!!

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. Patterson's Pack
Your blog is one of my favorites! I really appreciated all your hard work and you sharing it with us for free! This morning I was printing several of the centers getting ready for Earth Day week. For some reason (computers amaze me sometimes) I couldn't print pages 13-14. I switched to a different printer and they wouldn't print on it either. I was wondering if there was anyway you could email me those two pics maybe in a different format? doc, jpeg, whatever you made it it in? I thought maybe it had to do with real pictures and the cute clip art over it? I don't know. Thanks in advance!
